The story of Moissanite
As meteors slammed into the earth eons ago the enormous energy exchange create tiny crystals of silicon carbon. Sparkling and hard, pure SiC is colorless and shines brighter than a diamond. Natural moissanite was first found in 1893 as a small component of the Canyon Diablo meteorite crater in Arizona by Dr. Ferdinand Henri Moissan, after whom the material was named in 1905. Naturally occurring moissanite is found only in minute quantities in certain types of meteorite and in corundum deposits and kimberlite. Virtually all of the silicon carbide sold in the world, including moissanite jewels, is synthetic. Since these bright and bloodless stones has its origin from a space beyond our solar system, we figured they would be the perfect match with our spatial time information from the sun and the moon.
